Counsel in the firm's International Litigation & Arbitration practice and chair of the United Nations practice group. Christina represents States, private and State-owned entities, and individuals on international disputes.

Arbitration Experience: Ms. Hioureas has experience in international disputes and public international matters including: international investment treaty claims (ICSID, UNCITRAL); international commercial arbitration (ICC, ICDR, Swiss Rules) and litigation; treaty drafting and interpretation; energy law and pricing disputes; construction disputes; law of the sea and climate change; US Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act defense; international human rights, Alien Tort Claim Act and Torture Victim Protection Act claims; and capacity building trainings for State Sovereigns. She has been recognized in Global Arbitration Review (2014-16); Legal 500 (2014-15), and Chambers & Partners (2015).

Professional Career: In addition to her private practice, Christina served as the Special Legal Adviser to the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Cyprus to the United Nations, representing the State before the UN Sixth Committee to the General Assembly (Legal Affairs) and the UN Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL). She has previously served as an attorney at Latham & Watkins and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in public and private international law. She is on the Teaching Staff of the University of Piraeus in the Energy Strategy, Law & Economics Program and previously served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Fordham University School of Law in New York, NY.
